This series of free blog header art starts with a short lesson on gladiolas.
Gladiolas (or gladiolus) are part of the lily family. When you look at the shape of the petals, you’ll see the similarity.
The photo I started with for this free to download header art was taken while I was visiting relatives in Washington State. Their abundance of rain, humidity and sunshine appear to be the perfect combination for producing these lovely “glads”

Oh Barbra, these are just lovely. I’m an avid, no make that addicted gardener and glads are among my favorite flowers. I like the soft pink versions better than the dark renderings here. They are so lovely and the
soft shades of pinks, yellows and greens make such a lovely color palette.
Great new blog. Best of luck with the blog boutique!

Hi Joella,
Glads are beautiful flowers, aren’t they? And they look so pretty in a vase, although in some ways I hate cutting them as they’re such a nice addition to a garden.
Thank you for your sweet words and support.
I love these ones.. my favorite….so pink so flowery..so me..:)
Much Love,
Z~
