When I designed this free header art for download, I started with a photo of a single white peony. Since peonies are one of my favorite flowers, I had fun tweaking and colorizing the image.

As I look over these images, I can see some of them being used as a header for a wedding blog or for those who want a delicate touch added to their site.

  1. What a great post! Love the site, too. Personally, I have very little talent in the way of photography/graphic design/colorways etc. My talents are in the writing/spacial/analysis areas – and I’m so glad to know someone who has your talent. I’m fascinated that you’re able to ‘see’ the right one to pick (yep, not one of my talents!) when it comes to headers, backgrounds, etc. Well done!

      Thank you Charlene,

Yes. You do have wonderful writing talents.

I do enjoy envisioning headers on blogs. I have a love of color and design, so this fits right in with that.

Blessings on the baby bloggling! It’ll help so many folk.

NOW I understand why you resonated with my tulips so much and empathised with what a labour of love they were for a non-techie like me! My dream is to someday take advantage of the built in Thesis function of rotatuing headers. I was intending to have a Christmas themed header throughout December.

      Thank you Janice,

That’s right. I know exactly what you went through. I still consider myself non-techie to some degree. It seems with blogging we will never stop learning. I think that’s why I love it so much.

Rotating Christmas headers – that sounds like a fun project. In time I want to add holiday headers here too, so maybe you can use something I create. How sweet would that be?

It always starts with just one, doesn’t it? Same thing happened to me with my first website. Worse than potato chips, I’ll tell ya.

I still get confused in the photoshop layers….so hats off to you for making such gorgeous designs.
Now tell me..do you have any butterfly designs?? somehow they have become my new favorite thing… :)

      Thank you Zeenat,

I LOVE your enthusiasm. Yes, I did see your new header. It’s gorgeous. You did fabulous! Might that be a hidden talent of yours, too?

Butterflies? I don’t have any of headers with butterflies yet, but one never knows what I’ll do in the future. I’ll definitely let you know if I publish anything with butterflies.
