WordPress 3.0 incorporates a new default theme named “Twenty Ten”. With the Twenty-Ten theme comes an option to change the header background image by simply uploading a photo of your choice or by using one of the headers images they offer. This new feature will make it much easier for bloggers to personalize their space and show their creativity.
To accommodate the bloggers who will be upgrading to WordPress 3.0 and switching to the WordPress default Twenty-Ten theme, all future free to download header background art on this site will be sized to a 940 x 198 pixel format.
Keep in mind, previous images on this site were sized to fit the WordPress default Kubrick theme, which measures 740 x 192, however many of them can easily be resized to fit the Twenty-Ten theme or your blogging platform of choice by using your favorite photo editing program and changing the size to 940 x 198 pixels (for the Twenty-Ten theme) or….
